Reunion

Her daughter was adamant that she needs to color her hair for college reunion. After becoming a widow on the very month of marriage, she had never given much thought to anything of the sort; but now she had no choice.

As he waved and smiled at her before even entering the premise, her daughter asked her “He was a lover, wasn’t he? Mamma” smiling naughtily. “Aha, not quite true; He was the lover ” mother replied. She looked at her mother’s face. It seems to be at peace after twenty long years. “The only one” she continued after grabbing a moment to smile back at him while fixing her ‘new black hair in place.

The last love letter

You made such smooth deals Ryan, and that was when I fell in love with you. And maybe that’s why I didn’t hate you all this while; when you made deals of culture, values, beliefs and relations. I wonder how I didn’t hate you even when you made deal of love (Not sure if I should use mine or ours, so let it be complete being incomplete). I started to hate you when you made deal of memories Ryan, a man is what his memory is. I don’t know if a man like you will ever understand this. I’m saying this now just because I believe I was in love with you and I respect those feelings (Again don’t know mine or ours). A man without memory has no existence Ryan, he ceases to live. Time of death, the finishing point of life from what human could think, let me warn you Ryan at that time it’s just those memories that matters and you are taking the privilege of having memories from yourself. Can you think of a man who lives a day and just forget it after a sleep, like those in films? Have you ever thought how hard it is to live not knowing anyone and thus one’s self. We are but just the memory of being and moulding till the day.  And you are making yourself stand at that point Ryan, where you actually don’t exist. I wish I could help.
